Dear Parent /Carers

Attached to this article are two documents that explain how classes are organised and how we have to classify with composite classes.

Composite classes are NOT a way of fast tracking some children or holding children back.
In all classes, children are taught in groups at their ability and at their stages of learning.  There should be appropriate challenge and support for all children whatever their class.

Children going into composite classes do so in carefully composed groups that can work together and mix socially.  In every class, composite or straight, teachers work with a minimum of 3 clearly defined groups so that the core work they do can be set at the correct level for the group.

I hope you find the leaflets helpful and informative.

Kind regards

Mr Peck
